Class Introduction

IB course consists of 33bstudents in total – 12 third graders, 8 second graders, and 13 first grade students.

Since the IB course at Nichidai High School was established just three years ago, our student numbers are still growing. However, we believe that the unique opportunities the IB program offers will continue to attract more students in the coming years.

3-8

This is the friendliest class I’ve ever met in my experience. There are no barriers between genders, we can openly discuss what we want to say face to face.
Whenever someone is sad or feeling down, the entire class is always there to support
them. I truly feel that we’ve been able to overcome tough times thanks to everyone in
Class 8. Moreover, our class is rich in individuality, and during discussions in class, many diverse opinions are shared. I have learned and deepened my understanding of
ideas and perspectives that I had never considered before, broadening my vision. I am
grateful to my classmates who always teach me so much.

We entered the Sapporo Nihon University IB course as the third cohort (G26) and started the IBDP at the end of January 2025.

Although we are the smallest group in the IB course with just nine students, we are a diverse and talented group that brings a lively and cheerful atmosphere in class. This year is crucial for obtaining the IBDP, as we will be tackling important tasks such as IA (Internal Assessment), EE (Extended Essay), and CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service).

We aim to support and inspire each other while also serving as role models for the first-year students as we navigate our second year together!

Class 1-9 is a bright and friendly group with great camaraderie between boys and girls. It consists of 14 students, with 11 girls and 3 boys. The full IB education begins in January of the first year, but as we started the program, each student has been making the most of their time and supporting one another to balance studies, club activities, and extracurriculars.

A month after enrollment, we had an overnight training retreat. Since the IB course has limited interaction with other courses, some students felt a bit anxious. However, we were able to embrace our individual personalities and get along well with students from other courses. As things get busier from here on, we plan to continue supporting each other and doing our best!
